Skogsarbetare. Dragspelare.<br \/>\nF\u00f6dd den 3 april 1897 i B\u00f6len, Junsele som son till pigan Kristina Olsdotter (f\u00f6dd 1866). Vem som var hans far \u00e4r ok\u00e4nt. Hilmer och hans mor bodde kvar i B\u00f6len i tv\u00e5 \u00e5r innan de flyttade de till Vallen i samma f\u00f6rsamling. D\u00e4r tog Kristina tj\u00e4nst som piga hos bonden Gustaf Bernhard Wiberg och \u00e5r 1900 fick Hilmer tv\u00e5 systrar, tvillingarna Anna Margareta och Ingeborg.
