F\u00f6dd den 26 april 1903 i <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bys.junselebyar.se\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bysj\u00f6<\/a> Junsele som son till arrendatorn Lars Wallgren och Greta Johanna \u00c5str\u00f6m. Fritjof var mycket musikalisk och brukade i yngre \u00e5r bl.a. spela ihop med <a href=\"http:\/\/hembygd.junselebyar.se\/spelman\/?p=109\" target=\"_blank\">Allan Svensson<\/a> i samma by.<\/p>\n<p>Han gifte sig med Signe Holmqvist fr\u00e5n n\u00e4rbel\u00e4gna <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bys.junselebyar.se\/\" target=\"_blank\">N\u00e4set<\/a>, f\u00f6dd 1906. De fick tre barn som alla var musikaliska, Georg (1933-1968), dragspel, Eskil (1935-1966) trummor, och Therese (1938-1980) dragspel. Trio Wallgren var popul\u00e4ra musikanter i \u00c5ngermanland.
